Diesel is top dog

A LABRADOR saved from drowning in the Thames has been named Henley’s top dog.

Diesel was the only survivor out of four six-week-old puppies placed in a bin liner and dumped in the river at Pangbourne.

After his lucky escape, he was rescued by mechanic Mark Ackerman, from Swiss Farm, Henley, who has looked after him in the four years since.

Aspen hoping to groom her customers in ‘doggy town’

A SHOP selling “dog essentials” opened in Henley on Tuesday. Naughty Mutt Nice, on the corner of Reading Road and Station Road, sells treats, collars, leads and other accessories and organic dog food as well as offering a range of grooming treatments.

Henley Standard

A SHOP selling “dog essentials” and a grooming service is to open in Henley.
Naughty Mutt Nice will begin business on Tuesday, October 6 in the former Henley Barber Shop on the corner of Reading Road and Station Road.
Owner Aspen Weatherburn, 32, is returning to the town after a 20-year absence.
